Must-Fly.com Now Aviation Only

Non-Aviation Articles Have Moved

Bristol Boxkite 1911 early plane 2Eagle eyed regular readers will have noticed a lack of non-aviation articles (ie cats and similar) coming through recently, and also that the old ones have disappeared from the site! This is deliberate – Must-Fly.com will now be purely for aviation articles and details of my books.   The cat articles will eventually move to a new site, and my articles on other subjects…..no plans made yet, but I’ll let you know if and when they are published anywhere else.

So this is now a 100% aviation site, with sections simply on helicopter flying, other flying, and my books.   So all you flying addicts – read, and enjoy….

I'm Back....

I’m Back….

And so are the Articles!

Helen Krasner june 2010Regular readers will have noticed that it’s been a bit quiet here recently – for just over a month in fact. The reason is that I’ve been in hospital having major surgery on my knees. I then had to recuperate from the operation, and you wouldn’t believe how long that took!

Anyway, I’m now on the mend, and hopefully regular articles will be appearing as in the past, two or three times a week. I have already posted one today, and also written one which will appear on Sunday. I hope you enjoy them. If you’d like to know what’s coming next on here, you can follow me on Twitter, or ‘like’ my Facebook page, and you’ll get regular updates.

Meanwhile, you might like to go on over to the Books page, and find out about my books. If you like my articles – or even if you don’t – you might enjoy my aviation books, or the ones on other topics. There are links from the Books page to the page on Amazon where you can buy the books, and on the Home page too. One lot of links directs you to the American Amazon site, the other to the British one, so pick which ever is best for you.

I don’t have much else to report. I haven’t done any flying; even if the weather had played ball, the CAA would never have let me fly with all the pain killing medication I’ve been taking recently. But that can be remedied in the future…

Meanwhile, happy flying….and reading….

New Book - My Foreign Flying Adventures

Another Kindle Ebook on the Way!

cover for my foreign flying adventures smaller fileJust a short post today.  I've just written another ebook for the Kindle, which will be out shortly.  Of course I'll let you know when it's actually published, but this is just an advance notification.

The articles making up this latest book are very varied. They start with a trip to the Scottish Highlands with my friend Tricia, who features in several of the other stories too. Then comes a trip round Ireland, followed by a flight in Wales and the Borders to take part in (and win) an international flying competition, the 'Dawn to Dusk'. Again, I flew with Tricia for both of these adventures.

heli flight instructor course diary coverI’ve been meaning to mention this for a couple of weeks, but I’ve been far too busy. My Proposed New Book

Another Helicopter Related Kindle Ebook is in Preparation

R22 low res mineI’m writing another ebook for the Kindle. As many of you will know, I already have nine Kindle ebooks, most of them about helicopters and other types of flying, and you can find them on this page of the site. I also have three print books, which are here. However, the ones which sell best are the helicopter related ones, which is hardly surprising, as this is what I know most about. Also, there are less helicopter books about than any other flying books, so all you rotary addicts have a hard time finding enough of them.

Daily Articles on Must-Fly.com

cover for flying small helicopters vol 1Not much to say this week. I still haven’t managed to do any flying recently, but it is only March.

As far as the site is concerned, I’ve set things up so that there should now be new articles on a daily basis. There will certainly be one every day this week – the helicopter and other aviation ones on the home page, the others in their relevant categories. I’m hoping that will continue, but as I’m going away next weekend and again the week before Easter I can’t make any promises. But meanwhile, it should be worth coming back to take a look at frequent intervals. And as I think I’ve said before, comments are always welcome…

You can also follow me on Twitter to find out about my latest articles, Helen Krasner@MustFlycom.

One thing I have noticed since this site started is an increase in sales of my books, particularly the helicopter ebooks. If you haven’t already, take a look at the Books page, where you can find details of all of them, and links to where on Amazon you can buy them.

Happy reading!

More Articles and Positive Comments

aviation weatherWell, the last week seems to have flown....sorry for the pun; I haven't been doing any actual flying, as the weather hasn't been good enough and I've been too busy with putting this site together and other writing work.  But initial reactions seem to be good.  Most people like the layout and find it easy to navigate between the categories and pages.  If you don't feel free to tell me; as I said last week, this is still a work in progress.

I'm now starting to add articles concerned with flying as a passenger, rather than just for pilots.  The first is Airline Flying with Only Hand Luggage, so if you want to know about travelling light, have a look and see if you find any useful tips.  There will be more of this type of article to come...

I also now have details of all my books up on this site; you can find them here.  They include my two books about helicopter flying, eight ebooks for the Kindle on helicopter flying, an ebook on caring for your first cat, and my first published book, Midges, Maps & Muesli.  this last is about a 5,000 mile walk around the coast of Britain which I undertook about 25 years ago.  It's in its second edition, but still going strong.  There's a link to the Amazon page whee you can buy it, or you can contact me and get a signed copy if you prefer.

That's about it for now; hopefully I'll soon be ble to tell you about some flying I've done.  Well, the weather has to improve someday, doesn't it?  Meanwhile, back to adding to this site...

Introducing Must-Fly.com

flying in franceWelcome to Must-Fly.com, my website for those who fly, or used to, or might some day, or wish they did – either as pilots or passengers. That is its main purpose; however, it is also for those interested in cats, travel, fashion, or indeed anything else which I enjoy and have written about over the years. But let me explain further….

As many of you will know, I have been writing about aviation for many years. I have had a number of books published, and I have literally hundreds of articles which have appeared in various magazines and on different websites. Some of these are long gone or difficult to find, and at times various people have asked me how they can read more of my stuff. So I decided to make it all available in one place, and so the idea for this website was born...

Once I started collecting all the material which I had and putting everything together, I began to realise that I had stories on subjects other than flying. Maybe, I thought, people would like to read those too. So I decided to include some of my other writing – hence the stories on cats, travel and so on.

Therefore this site – which is currently a work in progress and will be for some time – will eventually include almost all my articles, details of my books, and of course some new stuff as well. It is divided loosely into sections – on helicopters, other flying, non-aviation writing, plus details of all my books and where you can buy them. So you can check out the sections which interest you, or just browse and see what’s new. I will be adding to the site over the next few days, weeks, and months, so I definitely recommend the latter in any case. And feel free to let me know what you think of it.

So read…and enjoy….
